Background:

Our Tampines Hub (OTH), People’s Association Singapore’s largest integrated community and lifestyle hub catering to the evolving lifestyle needs of over 220,000 residents living in Tampines, in addition to all who live and work in eastern Singapore.

OTH offers more than thirty community, sports, cultural, civic and lifestyle facilities integrated together. These programmes complement People’s Association’s existing community facilities in Tampines Town, while bringing together more than ten other government and stakeholder agencies to function as a one-stop service hub.

Objectives and Challenges:

Being People’s Association’s first large scale integrated hub, the team at OTH, led by Mr Suhaimi Rafdi, Director of Our Tampines Hub understood that it was necessary to capture data for tracking and understanding visitor count to effectively & efficiently manage the facilities and many tenants under-one-roof.

Another key reason is to measure and support the different agencies, facilities and programmes that are supporting and engaging the community to better facilitate the community needs.

Both the OTH and Trakomatic team worked closely together to firm up and clearly outline the project requirements by identifying expected and potential challenges of managing such a large space, multiple facilities and tenants. The targeted results by addressing these challenges were also clearly mapped out.
